- Walking boots or hiking shoes.
- Walking socks and liner socks. Wearing two pairs of socks helps prevent blisters. #
- A base layer that wicks away sweat and dries quickly.
- Walking trousers, that allow a full range of movement and dry quickly
- Fleece or alternative warm layer.
- Sun hat /peaked hats/bandanas for keeping the sun off
- Waterproof outer layers (Jacket and trousers). The top should ideally be breather able with a hood (ie Gore-Tex or similarly) #
- Warm hat or cap. #
- Gloves. #
- 25-45L Small Rucksack #
- Dry bag to pack your kit into to keep it dry (A good black bag will also do)
- Mobile phone – Find me someone who doesn’t leave home without one 😉
- Torch (head torches are best). #
- Spare batteries for camera/torch and any other device
- Cash/money (Not all pubs and cafes accept cards).
- Food – High energy, low weight snacks are ideal.
- Any medication that you personally require, inhalers or Anti-histamines/Anti-Allergy Medication #
