Misha’s love for the outdoors stretches back long before his military career and before setting up AAA. Misha has been active since 2002 as hike leader and organiser in other groups, principally with Mountaintrax and Backabush.
Originally from Sevastopol in Ukraine Misha worked as Tour Guide for a number of years in the Crimea. On arrival in the UK, he trained as Mountain Leader at Plas Y Brenin (The National Mountain Centre) and he has also undertaken First Aid training which he frequently renews.
His life experience and training in the Russian army taught him to stay safe and healthy outdoors. He was taught how to survive in remote, inhospitable locations and navigate without a compass. Whilst exploring the beauty of different parts of the UK and Europe He’ll often stop on a hike and share this bushcraft with fellow members.
It’s no secret that Misha like great food, to that end we all benefit. AAA is renowned for great breakfasts and healthy hearty dinners that certainly quell any hikers appetite after a full day on the hills. We have not even mentioned his cake baking skills, but don’t worry he will.
Misha can usually be found hosting day hikes, weekends away, overseas hiking holidays and anywhere we can serve great cakes and drink good wines
