Location
YHA Snowdon Ranger is as you would expect close to Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales. This rustic rural retreat is just a stone’s throw from Llyn Cwellyn and an ideal base to start your ascent of Snowdon.
The hostel is set in an area steeped in the culture of Wales – the village of Beddgelert, Sygun Copper Mine, Caernarfon Castle and the Welsh Highland Railway are nearby. In summer, you can enjoy a swim in the lake from the hostel’s own beach.

With free private parking, the hostel is an ideal base from which to explore Snowdonia National Park. It has a lounge to relax in, a games room, and a dining room.
YHA Snowdon Ranger is 30 minutes’ drive from Bangor, where you can catch a bus from Bangor Rail Station to the hostel. Caernarfon, home of the magnificent Caernarfon Castle, is a 30-minute drive away.
There is a large dining room, with views out to sea, with ample seating as well as a lounge, quiet room and function room for yoga and other group activities. Wif-Fi is available at this property which is free of charge for guests to use.
The dining rooms is the main social hub with a lounge complete with soft seating. On the lower floors is a games room with pool table and table football and drying room.

There are showers on the first floor along with a washroom and toilets, with additional facilities on the top floor. Please bring your own towels.
